It's possible that my problem with this DVD is somewhere in my equipment, but I don't think so, as I play many DVDs and use a noise cancelling headset. This DVD is so muffled that it's impossible to understand what the actors are saying.
The story is very jerky. Characters shout at each other for no reason. This viewer is left mystified. I agree with Joseph that this is a "dreadfully dull" movie--not worth the money spent on making it. I like Joseph's other comment, "I prayed for some life but this one was dead on arrival."

A magical look at life, death and love through the eyes of a boy living in a palliative care home.
Well worth watching.

Interesting little film. Low key with a few surprising moments, just like the reality of life :)

This film includes many good familiar British actors and Michael Caine's performance was superb. Unfortunately it was difficult to understand the dialogue at times.

Quiet, tender lessons in loving & caregiving & the importance of celebrating people's lives & the mystery of Life before death instead of after.

I found it hard to get into this movie and actually didn't stick it out to the end. Could have been, in part, because I found some of the dialogue difficult to hear/understand and there were no sub-title options.

I agree..not a big movie but definitely a good one. It's Michael Caine. Enough said.

Skip It - Is Anybody There? (2008) 94 min. Michael Caine is a wonderful actor. Unfortunately, this picture is not wonderful. It’s dreadfully dull. The concept is interesting – a little boy curious about death as he witnesses death frequently by living in a home for the retired – Caine plays a retiree. I prayed for some life but this one was dead on arrival.
