This Nancy Farmer series is high on our list of all-time favorites. Her books, as well as T.A. Barron's come up time and again with my now college student son as foundational to the way he sees the world and his role in it. More so than CS Lewis's Narnia series!

The third in the trilogy this book was really good but again was a bit hard to follow sometimes.

I have read all of Nancy Farmer’s books. They are all great reading for young teens. This is book 3 in a trilogy that began with, 'The Sea of the Trolls,' followed by 'The Land of the Silver Apples.' Doctor-at-Bass! T. A.
