Add a CommentA girl is living in New Orleans with her eccentric aunt. She learns more about curses and New Orleans culture, and gets involved in a curse herself! This book has a spooky tone to it, which I really liked. I was so surprised at the ending! I would recommend if you like ghost stories and mysteries.
LOVED IT!!
I really enjoyed the setting for this ghost story - New Orleans, still recovering from the damage caused of Hurricane Katrina.

Ruined: A Novel (Paperback)
The author's writing skill really drew me into her tale set in New orleans.

This book is sure to be a pleasure to read to all who enjoy a good ghost tale, and I highly recommend it.
The author is a wonderful prose writer and her descriptions of New Orleans and Mardi Gras were very well done. However I was disappointed that plot wasn't airtight and the ghost wasn't eerie enough.
Mysterious, shocking, and amazing. This is a really good read, had to reread some parts over again because i wasn't sure i saw it right, that's how surprised i was.
