When Ali Vincent became a contestant on the hit NBC show The Biggest Loser, her weight was an all-time high of 234 pounds, but she was at an all-time low. After years of being afraid, ashamed, and unhappy, she resolved to lose weight, get healthy, and go after her dreams. Every morning on the ranch, Ali rang a bell she kept on her bedside table and repeated her mantra: Believe it. Be it. Seven months later, she emerged from the competition as its first female winner, having regained both her health and her sense of purpose. Believe It, Be It reveals the untold story of her dramatic personal and physical transformation. Ali shares her struggles with the same tough issues faced by millions of people - struggles with food, family, stress, and low self-esteem. In this inspirational memoir, readers will not only get a peek inside life at the famous Biggest Loser ranch, they'll also learn Ali's strategies for weight loss and maintenance, as well as the motivational tools that have helped her make positive life changes.

I just happened to come across this book on the shelf at the library. Not knowing who Ali was or her journey back to health, I did find it an honest and inspiring book. It was an easy read and I read it rather quickly. If you are looking for a pick-me-up kind of book and you like the Biggest Loser, take a look at this story.

I jut finished reading this book and I think she was very inspiring for all of us women who are overweight and have tried every diet that has come along...
She gave some good advice on how The Biggest Loser show changed her life and how she is able to keep it off since winning the title. I loved reading the behind the sceens information that we don't see when we watch the show.
