1960's ennui. watched mostly in FF with the subtitles going quickly with a few stops along the way.
is it reading too much into Godard to say the segments of the call girls were interspersed with images of cranes, upright dump trucks and hoses?
and what do we know about her? she says she is not dead.
I agree with the other comments. While I love Godard and his films, this one just could not keep my attention. The synopsis made it sound much more interesting than it turned out to be, and I could have done without the man's voice whispering to me in every scene.
I love Godard's films, but not this one. It felt like a hit and miss. It was hard to understand what Godard was trying to say exactly. I think that the point did not quite get across. I understand what he was saying about consumerism, but other aspects of this film seemed to have no meaning....maybe he made it too abstract.
just too abstract for me now........
