I really enjoyed this book and finding out about Mae West, and I was completely surprised at her wit, her drive, her business savvy, and most of all her confidence in herself! at a time where most woman wern't "allowed" to have any, except if a man gave it to her.

Great Book, Mae was one
smart woman. Who took on

I couldn't bring myself to read beyond the third chapter. The writing is innocuous and the research seem fairly thorough. Most of the book is fuelled by quotes from Ms. West herself, which may be the problem. Unadulterated narcissism is not an attractive personal characteristic.
