By his 31st birthday, David Servan-Schreiber was already an accomplished man: neuroscientist, founder of Doctors Without Borders, published author, and sought-after lecturer. But the discovery of a brain tumor forced David to re-examine his values and beliefs. Previously a supporter of Western medicine, he began to explore the balance between traditional and alternative approaches to health care. Here David shares his experience and the lessons learned.

This book was written 10 years ago and the idea of the body as a whole is more wide spread now. This author discusses diet, exposure to toxins, physical lifestyle and emotional health.
Worthy ideas and concepts.

A great book and a must have for all. A very comprehensive and uplifting book. Easily understood and well explained. It encompasses all; how cancecer occurs, what we can do about it as prevention and as a treatment by diet, exercise, relaxation etc.
Very complete wish it had been written before both my parents died of cancer as I am sure it would have extended their survival ands/or helped them beat the cancer.
Written by an expert; a reknowned doctor and researcher who himself has been living way beyond the expectations of his very agressive and malignant brain tumor which he has managed for the last 20 years. Look him up non you tube. Very uplifting with many stories of different treatments and reseach.
