This all star amazing cast of Black men and women Actors was a spectacular movie. Cicely Tyson brief appearance was brilliant and award winning! They could do a part II and name it "The Women of Brewster's Place, After The Wall". { I can't believe that CPL has only (One Copy) of this Powerful Movie! What a Bad and Sad Decision! Somebody, Wake Up and Make Several Copies of This Movie CPL, Please! Thank You!

Very good, a great black film - all black cast, director, producers. Could have been a better ending - instead of tearing down the wall, they should have gone after C.C. and his gang. But the "Dead fEnd" was symbolic, so OK. A great movie for the theme of "shame," both honest and that inflicted by others for their own purposes. Good book references for the subject are John Bradshaw's "Shame," Dwight Dwyer's "Pulling Your Own Strings," and Alice Miller's "For Your Own Good."

Disappointed honestly. I thought with all the great actors this would be a much more powerful film. I didn't really care for Oprah's character and felt this wasn't her best acting.
Not at all in the same league as "The Color Purple"
