Add a CommentIf you are a science buff, you may like this book, but I found it to be boring. Yes, it is well written and, for the most part, in layman's terms, but there is a tremendous amount of detail about the author's search for fossils and the anatomy of the animals he is researching, along with human anatomy. The reader, Marc Cashman, is very good.
Almost done with the audiobook, but I can confidently say that this is an extraordinary book! I wish I had actually read this though, since I did look at the hard copy and saw many charts and pictures of the anatomy and scientific language he used in the book that was sometimes too much for me to comprehend. Dr. Shubin does his best to give real life examples though, to the help the everyday reader understand laboratory and prehistoric data. The only reason I don't give the audiobook an outstanding rating, is because there are no chart. If you want to learn about evolution of life on Earth and actually listen to factual data, instead of hypothesis or theories without hardcore evidence, this is a book for you!
