If you are looking for a book that shows children what is happening above and below ground as a garden grows, this is a wonderful choice. The rhyming story is a take on the old "House That Jack Built" rhyme, and it works beautifully. Recommended for children up to 3rd grade, and the teachers and parents that garden with them. Library storytime-tested.
