This was one of the better Dean Koontz books I have recently read. I am certain it was written because of Koontz's love of dogs, particularly Golden Retriever's. The story line is somewhat complicated, but not too difficult to follow, and the reader can anticipate who the antagonists really are, as the story moves forward. The narration was most excellent as well, especially with the different voice characterizations.

This book was so fast paced and had such a good ending. It is easy to believe in the supernatural qualities of dogs and the author does a great job of weaving this into his plot.
