Excellent story of the initial use of dna for crime-solving. Solid performances and a good pace make this a very educational and interesting production. No drawn-out scenes or sensationalizing anything here. A very important show as well,…

This is an awesome account of the first use of DNA in a criminal case. It was also great to see the behind-the-scenes interview with the actual scientist and detective who collaborated to solve the crimes.

I had this on my "for later" list several months and finally watched it. Wish I had watched it earlier. It was very good, very interesting. The scientist character got a little frantic at times, especially early but other than that, the…

We just finished watching “Code of a Killer” (from the library).
We both thought it very well done.
Another reason for my interest in genetics in library books like:

For americans and canadians, conditioned to movies with explosions, violence, dramatic larger-than-life characters and confrontations this british 3 part series/movie will probably be hopelessly dull.
For everybody else, bloody well done.

The opening ten minutes are as strong as any police procedural I've seen, and the script, which is drawn from true events, develops well from there, as parallel stories are gradually brought together. Excellent acting by John Simm, David…

Well-done show about the first use of DNA in criminal investigation by the police to convict a serial killer. There is some suspense, but understated acting by John Simm as Alec Jeffrey (later to be knighted, Sir Alec Jeffrey) and David…

Extremely interesting true story about the discovery of DNA. DNA was first used to prove paternity and later used in murder investigation. How far we have come since 1984. The scientist and the police officer involved in this story are…

Interesting movie that is based on the true story and real people! It is good, but can be even better! Very interesting how the DNA sequencing was discovered and applied to the criminal and paternity cases, etc! Revolutionary!
