Yeah, I don't know, The Final Chapter didn't really feel final enough to me? It still seems Alice is on the warpath to destroy any remaining undead who apparently aren't dying off or changing soon enough for her liking in this "last" installment of the series.
definitely not their best effort. Kind of tied things up but not the same kind of action or tension as in previous movies in the series. A reboot is in the works, likely due to the major box office for these movies, but there's no need really.
I have always loved this series and own several of the DVDs. Love the scenes where Alice is on a motorcycle. Milla Jovovich never fails to deliver a great action performance and she still looks amazing! Want to see some really creepy, scarey monsters? This is for you. Iain Glen is also a favorite. Wish Carlos could have been brought back. Is it really the final chapter?
I happen to enjoy watching the resident evil movies with all their flaws but this is the worst! A disappointing end to a good series unless this is like the friday the 13 movies that didnt quite end either
Will there be another sequel coming?
What a dissapointment for the end of this movie, i just watch it right now and i'm glad that i take it from the library and i didn't spend any money in the theater or renting it in the Red Box because is not worth to spend a penny on it.
Don't know why I picked up this title. Perhaps for the action, the CGI effect, or just being curious. Unless you are a fan of the lead actress, or of a CGI-based desolate landscape of the earth, or of outlandish monsters trying to devour our protagonist and other humans, don't waste your time. Being a teenage gamer will help a little.
I hate to say it but what a disappointing end to the franchise, it seemed almost sloped together without thought to originality or really anything. Overall poor writing and rehashed story plots, and cobbled together pieces of other films.
Found it more entertaining than the last couple in the series due to a more cohesive plot and more non-cgi action sequences. Definitely gave it an extra star or two since it was free from the library. It was kind of campy how they utilized the recent popularity of productions like Mad Max(tank fight), zip line(Divergent) and Game of Thrones(actor) to liven up the production.
The franchise's sixth adventure of Alice when the world was ruled by the evil Umbrella Corporation in Raccoon City with its army of zombies and mutants. Nice essential chapter of the long running saga but the special effects, props, sets and combat scenes were familiar and sometimes dull.. Nonetheless, after following Alice's journey for so long, it is a must watch. Notes:
1. Milla Jovovich who played Alice has turned 41 and still showed some great acrobatic moves on screen.
2. The DVD's preview of "Resident Evil: Vendetta, AKA Biohazard," the latest Japanese CG film based on the R.E. game franchise, looked very good in visuals (see trailer in "Videos.")
