'A World Without Princes' is an interesting sequel to 'The School For Good And Evil.' Suspenseful, thoughtful, and a reflection of our broken world. This book makes you realize the depth of Sophie's and Agatha's characters and the similarities between the divided schools and our divided world, always fighting, never getting along.

A World without Princes, is the second installment in the planned trilogy (there is however a fourth book being written) written by Soman Chainani. Compared to the first book, Chainani has brought a whole new perspective of society and equality to his readers. The first book ended in what I would like to call a “now what” moment, leaving the readers guessing. I might have thought that the first book went against the stereotypes, but this one allows the reader to get two different perspectives presented in a very relatable concept. The main characters, Sophie and Agatha are back and ready for the second adventure of a lifetime, within a world of doubt, fear and deception, they're lost on who to trust and who must die. The suspense leaves you guessing what happens in the end, with certain twists and turns, leaving you wondering “who’s really good or evil?”. With the new installment, different sides of characters were revealed letting more information spill out of a chest of untold secrets. This book is definitely a must read, especially if you loved the first book as much as I did, it left me completely starstruck.

Amazing book I really enjoyed reading it.

I love this book series! Everyone says that sequels are never as good as the first, but these three book series break that tradition. If you love the idea of all of the fairytales grown up and mixed together, and love to see how they are created, these are the books for you.

I couldnt put it down. A massive interesting twist on fairytales. I cant wait to see what comes next from such a talented writer!

The first book was amazingly awesome, but this book you just need the original. This book was OK but the first is WAY better. Don't hate me if you like this book because we all have different opinions

It's a really good book, it keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what will happen next. I'm sorta jealous of Soman Chainani because I want to write a book, but trust me, it's harder than it seems. A little tip for people writing books - edit EVERYTHING afterwards. A lot of my friends are reading the series and its so hard not to tell them what will happen next. This book is AMAZING!!!!!!

I really liked this book. I really did. The only reason I give this book a three stars is because I didn't finish the whole book through because I got to a part that I did not feel comfortable reading, but in a few years, I'm going to finish this book and I'm going to love it. :D

i liked this frickin book

Amazing book! Highly recommend the whole series! It is so far the best series I have ever read. I recommended it to my somewhat uncertain older sister and after that, she couldn't get her nose out of them! I admit the second book isn't quite as good as the first, and the boy girl discrimination can get a little gross, but overall, Soman Chainani is an amazing writer and creator! I'm a bit jealous.

I honestly don't know if there will be a third book and if there will be, I'm dying to read it! This book is filled with mystery and love, making you think beyond things that may appear simple. Boy or Friend? In the first book, Sophie must prove her loyalty and friendship towards Agatha, but in the second book, roles are reversed. Will Agatha trust Sophie after her transformation into a witch? Exciting, heart wrenching, mystery, and love. This book has it all!

I struggled with finding interest in the book for the first one hundred pages. I do like that good/evil, boy/girl boundaries are being questioned and blurred, but this sequel felt more forced than the first book. Right now, I would recommend someone to read only the first book, as it does end at a good place. However, if a third book does come out (and it's quite likely), it may change my opinion on that point.

I wonder what happens next it is so exciting, I am so glad that my friend suggested this book to me! I heard that the 3rd book will end it all.

I have trouble giving a rating to this book because I have very mixed feelings about it. I enjoyed the first book in the series, despite some troubling mixed messages, but the odd messages in this second installment became extreme enough to impact my enjoyment of the novel. The worldbuilding and characterization remain impressive, and the series' concept, as a riff on traditional fairy tales, continues to be appealing, but I would caution parents that the author seems undecided about how to address issues of feminism and female empowerment, and the resulting muddle of conflicting messages might be confusing to readers trying to draw some sort of lesson. Not all books need a lesson, of course, but it seems that Chainani is desperate to teach one -- but he hasn't quite figured out what it is.
