This class is designed for learners who are comfortable with computer basics, like using a mouse and keyboard, and want to learn more about Microsoft Excel, but is not designed for advanced learners. Please see suggestions for intermediate or advanced learners at the end of the program description.
In this class, you will practice the basic features of Microsoft Excel by creating a mock budget. You will enter text and numbers into an Excel worksheet, format cells to display data effectively, and perform the basic calculations of addition and subtraction. We'll be using the library’s computers, so no need to bring anything with you.
Late Arrivals: Because this class is interactive, doors will be closed at 1:45. We will not be able to accommodate patrons who arrive after this time.
Don’t have time to make this class, but interested in learning some more computer basics? Check out some hands-on tutorials through Chicago Digital Learn. No library card necessary!
