Please join us as we celebrate the opening of the exhibition, Stories that Click: Reimagining Chicago Brick by Brick. See the exhibit and meet some of the contributors. Visitors will also have the chance to interact with some of the builders.
LEGO models will be on display at the Harold Washington Library Center beginning April 3 in the 9th floor gallery paired with historic rarities and archival materials from Chicago Public Library’s Special Collections Unit, creating a dialogue between past and present.
We asked, “What exactly would your Chicago look like?” This exhibit is the answer to that question.
By placing the LEGO artists’ creative expressions alongside archival treasures, the exhibition highlights how storytelling, memory, and imagination can shape how Chicago is seen, understood, and reimagined.
