Getting back into reading? Want to try new genres? Join the Chinatown Branch for our Literary Lounge Book Club! Each month we will explore a new genre and discuss not only the book, but also elements of the genre. This month's theme will be: Thriller.
 
Dennis Lehane's Shutter Island, the basis for the blockbuster motion picture directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, is a gripping and atmospheric psychological thriller where nothing is quite what it seems. U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels and his partner, Chuck Aule, come to Shutter Island's Ashcliffe Hospital in search of an escaped mental patient, but uncover true wickedness as Ashcliffe's mysterious patient treatments propel them to the brink of insanity. Pick up a copy of the book at the Circulation Desk.
