Computer Basics: Excel 101

1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Harold Washington Library Center

Description

This class is designed for learners who are comfortable with computer basics, like using a mouse and keyboard, and want to learn more about Microsoft Excel, but is not designed for advanced learners. Please see suggestions for advanced learners at the end of the program description.

In this class, learners will practice the basic features of Microsoft Excel by creating a mock budget. We will focus on entering text and numbers into an Excel worksheet, formatting cells to display text and numbers effectively, and performing the basic calculations of addition and subtraction.

We'll be using the computers in the building, so no need to bring anything with you.

Don’t have time to make this class, but interested in learning some more computer basics? Check out some hands-on tutorials through Chicago Digital Learn. No library card necessary!
