Part of the Special Exhibit, Local Legends: African American Steelworkers - an exhibit exploring the history of steelworkers in Chicago and their influence on American labor rights. On display February 2nd to March 10th. 


Join the Chicago Public Library's Special Exhibits team for a presentation about the evolution of worker protections and organizing from the steel mills to the modern economy. Followed by a "Rights at Work" training from Chicago Jobs with Justice and discussion on how to build power in your workplace to advocate for your rights as workers.
