Healing Through the Blues: A National Day of Racial Healing with Vino Louden

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Woodson Regional

Description

Vino Louden

Join us for an intimate and powerful experience honoring the National Day of Racial Healing through the transformative power of music. Chicago Blues Hall of Fame inductee Vino Louden will lead participants on a journey through the blues as a living expression of history, resilience, and collective healing.

Through acoustic and electric performances, storytelling, and reflection, Vino will explore how the blues gives voice to struggle, hope, and the shared human experience. This program invites the community to listen, feel, and connect across differences, using music as a bridge for understanding and empathy. Together, we will reflect on the role of cultural expression in healing, honoring the past while creating space for unity, restoration, and forward movement.
