Want to read more in 2026 but don't know where to start? Try a reading challenge!

Each month, we'll pick two challenge prompts to focus on - no assigned books, you can pick whatever you want for each theme!

For February, we will focus on the following prompts:

A book set in Chicago OR by an author who is from Chicago

• Horror, romance, graphic novel - read any book you want that has ties to our city!

A book featuring a character with a big secret

• Double lives, secret histories, or even secret crushes all qualify books to pair with this prompt!
  

Read a book for one prompt, go for both, or just come to the meeting for the vibes! Don't know what book to pick? Ask a librarian, we can help you find one!
