Description

Visit the children's department to learn about the textile traditions of West Africa with this hands-on craft project. Learn the history and meaning of adinkra symbols, then use glue and paint to create your own fabric square in the style of African wax resist textiles. Participants can take home their fabric squares or donate them to be sewn into the Woodson Community Heritage Quilt at the end of the month!

For kids 3 and up and their guardians.
