Events › Teen Reading Discussion: The Coldest Winter Ever

Join the Teen Librarian to explore Sister Souljah's book The Coldest Winter Ever, which follows Winter, the daughter of a prominent drug-dealing family, who will do anything to stay on top when her street smarts are put to the test of a lifetime. Teens will have an opportunity to read from the book together, share their impressions and discuss the main themes and questions of the book. Participants are not required to read the book prior to attending the reading group; we will read passages together. For teens ages 13 to 18.

Real Ones Read is a program funded through a grant by Urban Libraries Council. This program focuses on helping teens develop literacy and communication skills while providing a safe space for dialogue and learning.
