Haiku and Free Verse Poetry Writing Night

6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Description

Haiku is a Japanese-created poetry form that consists of three lines of five, seven, and five syllables each. We will select three words from the dictionary, sound out the syllables, and construct Haikus in the moment for
30 minutes. Then, we will abandon all structure and freely form creations in free-form forums that will take you into areas unknown...until now... Write what your imagination inspires you to write. Hosted by the Sherman Park Branch.
