Join The Second City’s Improv for Anxiety workshop to explore spontaneity and risk taking in safe environments that limit external pressures to foster a sense of safety and inclusion. Through improv games and exercises and teamwork students will learn to enhance effective communication skills, create connections and have fun.
This innovative class uses ensemble-based improv to help people who experience social anxiety overcome fear and avoidance associated with work, school, and family life. A Second City Training Centre instructor will lead the class through a series of improv exercises that are specifically chosen to help students focus on the present and step outside of their comfort zones. In a safe and nurturing environment, participants will be introduced to several tools they can use to manage feelings of stress and anxiety.
