Welcoming all members of the community, our handy volunteers encourage you to bring your furniture, appliances, clothing, electronics, or most everything else to be repaired for free!
Peruse the library while you wait, leave it with us and come back, or sit with our volunteer to learn what we're doing. We're just some handy folk with backgrounds in various disciplines who have a passion for helping and growing our community in any way we can. All items must be able to be moved easily (no pianos or washing machines, please) and can be submitted for repair no later than 2pm to allow sufficient time for repair. In order to serve as many people as possible, we ask that you limit the number of items for repair to two.
Have a larger item at home, or a project/task and just need some advice on how to do it yourself? Feel free to drop by to chat with us about it. Currently our team consists of folks with familiarity in: woodwork, carpentry, computer repair, electronics repair/cleaning, minor electrical, appliance and tool repair, patching and mending clothing, but we're also looking for more folks with skills who would like to volunteer.
We are not product manufacturers or a professional repair center, so there are limits to our abilities. We will be honest and up front with you when assessing your item. If we are unable to repair your item, we will do our best toadvise you and send you down the right path. Any item youbring to us has a risk of being further damaged.
