Weaving Traditions: Loom Workshop

Description

Learn how to build a simple straw loom with yarn as a foundational loom project. You'll go home with a bracelet and skills to develop more complex projects.

This program celebrates Native American Heritage Month at the library and will provide historical context on the role of weaving traditions in Indigenous cultural practices.

For adults, teens and kids 6 and up.

How to Attend
Register by the start of the event. Chicago Public Library cannot collect personal information online from kids 0 to 13. A parent or guardian’s email address must be used to register. As a reminder, school email addresses may block external emails such as those from CPL.

Due to space limitations, please include the total number of children and adults as attendees when you register.
