Sometimes the people we love most aren’t the ones we see every day. This hands-on postcard-making and workshop is about reaching across the miles to say: I’m thinking of you. I love you. I’m glad you’re in my life. Join author and illustrator Sophie Lucido Johnson for a creative evening to celebrate the upcoming release of her new book, KIN: The Future of Family (Atria/Simon & Schuster, November 2025), which explores creative and meaningful ways we can build and sustain connection in our lives. Books will be available for purchase on-site through Jarvis Square Books on the day of the event.
Sophie Lucido Johnson is the author of several books, including Many Loves and Dear Sophie, Love Sophie. She teaches at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and publishes the Substack newsletter You Are Doing a Good Enough Job. She's a New Yorker cartoonist who is proud to live in Rogers Park
