Local teacher and author of the book Adventure with the Shortiez,Creola Thomas is turning her works of fiction into an engaging, interactive experience for children. Thomas is launching an updated version of Books Not Bullets – programming designed to make reading more engaging for kids. Books Not Bullets combines fun and literacy with dramatic readings, a dance contest, and a chance to win a tablet! Come out, show off your moves, share a story but most of all, have fun!

For kids 6 and up.

How to Attend
Register by the start of the event. Chicago Public Library cannot collect personal information online from kids 0 to 13. A parent or guardian’s email address must be used to register. As a reminder, school email addresses may block external emails such as those from CPL.
