Adapted from a hit Off-Broadway musical, Hedwig and the Angry Inch follows Hedwig and her band on a ramshackle, punk, glam-rock tour of America, showing us her backstory along the way and revealing her to be (as the director puts it) “a beautiful gender of one.”
