Join us for a vibrant, all-ages Liberation Listening Party where Chicago’s Black history comes alive through music and dancing!
The event will feature music and storytelling inspired by materials from the Chicago Public Library’s archives. For 90 minutes across three sets, CPL’s DJ Scholar in Residence, Rae Chardonnay, will bring history to life visually and acoustically.
We’ll also have activities for people of all ages featured at the event including arts and craft stations inspired by archival materials. This will be a celebration of sound and stories for all ages.
These programs are made possible with support from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to the Chicago Public Library Foundation. For more Renaissance Events, please check out our website.
