Spring is here and the trees are in bloom! Join us for a fun and educational walk with arborist and Director of Forestry at Openlands, Michael Dugan. We’ll learn how to identify trees by using tree keys and by observing the springtime emergence of freshly grown buds, leaves, and blossoms.

Michael is proud TreeKeeper #1256, an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist and Municipal Specialist IL9278AM. He is a graduate of the Municipal Forestry Institute and Environmental Leadership Program and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Washington.

This event meets in person at Harold Washington Library Center, 4th floor, Room 4N-10. We will meet in this room for class instruction and then walk towards the South Loop to observe the trees.

15 participants only, online registration required.
