Description

Whether you are a new business owner, are thinking about starting a small business, or have an existing one you’d like to improve, join the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and its resource partners for this session which will cover:

  • The importance of managing your personal finances, including improving your credit score. This matters especially if you are looking to secure financing for your business.
  • Financial terminology and an overview of the financial documents necessary for a successful business.
  • Understanding your business cash flow and why you need to know your numbers.
  • Counseling and funding resources available through the SBA
  • Where/how to apply for small business loans

Peggy Rayson has been with the Small Business Administration for five years. She currently serves as an Outreach & Marketing Specialist, working to get the word out about SBA’s Mission, and previously worked as a Loan Specialist for SBA’s Loan Servicing Center in Fresno, CA, where she focused on responding to Congressional and FOIA inquiries, and assisting victims of ID theft. Peggy has a passion for coaching and assisting small business owners as she owned her own small business for 20 years, before joining the SBA.
