Description

Poets and singers of all levels are invited to gently explore, speak, and sing together some of the most culturally and spiritually rich lyric poetry and music ever created – Black Gospel. Gospel Therapy is a unique group experience that brings peace and joy to body and soul. All poems/ songs will be taught and learned by ear.

Willa Moore
is a singer/songwriter and performance poet who worked for many years as a board-certified music therapist. Willa also assists efforts to bring college classes and the arts to justice-involved youth; to support and establish bilingual after school family literacy programs; and to help distribute bilingual children’s books to refugee settlements worldwide.

Kym Franklin
is a vibrant grace gospel singer, vocal pedagogue and therapeutic music facilitator. She is uniquely equipped to effectively perform diverse musical genres from gospel to classical, while carefully
maintaining their stylistic integrity and interpretation.
