Join Dr. James Ruska of Swedish Hospital to learn about the importance of “hands-only” CPR and how to respond in an emergency situation. This free training features interactive practice of “hands-only” CPR with a mannequin so individuals can understand how to properly perform chest compressions. The class will also demonstrate how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
This program is made possible through a grant from Illinois Heart Rescue and generous support from the Swedish Hospital Foundation.
Please note: Bystander CPR training is not the same as CPR certification.
Held in partnership with Edgewater Village Chicago and Swedish Hospital.
