Description

Mississippi Blues Trail Marker in Grant Park

Join us for a screening of the documentary, "Chicago Blues." Filmed in 1972, Harley Cokeliss’ film is a testament to the Chicago Blues. Remarkable in that it was not just a competent documentary but a film crafted with care by professionals with a love and understanding of Blues and a respect for its history and artists.

Featured music and artists, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy et al., faithfully reflect the Chicago Blues scene of the late ’60s. Amateurs to world famous stars, music created in houses or small bars, and traditional to modern styles are showcased. 50 minutes.
