Please join the Richard J Daley Library and the Bridgeport community for a discussion of the Chicago Public Library's One Book One Chicago selection, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin.
This novel follows a sprawling thirty years of change in places, circumstances, and experiences between two friends that are intimately related through their collaboration in, and love of videogames. They find overnight success together in their twenties through their creative partnership and as the videogame they built continues on its own so does their relation to one another. These characters are so closely relayed and defined by each other and yet they are also expansively strewn across the technological landscape of the creative technology they pursue. The reader is able to see how human desire is manipulated by creativity and technology, and how even as individuals are complicated by technology and society their humanity strongly endures.
