Join us for a walking tour of Pilsen, led by photographer Akito Tsuda. Tsuda’s photographs will be on display at Harold Washington Library Center beginning June 3, in the exhibit Akito Tsuda: Pilsen Days, part of Art Design Chicago.

Two different routes are available. On June 6 at 6:00pm, we meet and end at Lozano Branch Library, touring the neighborhood east of the library and seeing the sites captured in Tsuda’s photographs from the early 1990s (approximately 1.5 miles total). On June 9 at 11:00am, we meet outside the Damen Pink Line Station at 2010 S. Damen Avenue and tour the neighborhood west of Ashland Avenue (approximately 2 miles total). Tour 2 ends at the 18th Street Pink Line Station. Guests are then welcome to join Tsuda on the train downtown to view the exhibit.

Presented by the Archives and Special Collections Division and the Terra Foundation for American Art.

Registration required. (Weather permitting)
