Poetry Reading and Creative Writing Revelry with Anara and Gay

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Edgewater

Description

You're not in Kansas anymore! Anara Guard will launch her new poetry collection, Kansas Reimagined, cleverly bringing new life to characters familiar from the Wizard of Oz and unexpected entities found throughout the prairies. Copies of the autographed book will be available for purchase.

Following the poetry reading, Anara and her poet-sister Gay Guard-Chamberlin, will lead a “Places & Spaces” creative writing workshop. The one-hour workshop is open to writers of poetry, prose, fiction, or non-fiction—as well as to people new to writing.

Held in partnership with Friends of the Edgewater Library
