Head to the Art Institute of Chicago for a discussion of this year’s One Book, One Chicago selection, There There by Tommy Orange. Copies of this title are available at all Chicago Public Library locations. Participants should bring the book and note at least one passage that they would like to discuss with the group. In addition to a book discussion facilitated by members of the museum’s Interpretation staff, the group will look at selected artworks related to the book’s themes.

How to Attend

This event will be held in person at the Art Institute of Chicago, located at 111 S. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Il 60603. Admission to the museum will be free for all Illinois residents on Winter Weekdays (Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays) from Nov 27 - Dec 22, 2023. Attendees should arrive at least 10 minutes in advance to redeem a (free) ticket from the Admissions counter, and convene at the bottom of the Woman’s Board Grand Staircase, just inside the Michigan Avenue entrance.
