Community Drum Circle

6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Albany Park

Description

You are not alone!

Our heartbeats are constant and steady, like the beat of a drum. When people gather to drum together, their heartbeat and brain waves start to sync up and move at the same pace. Not only does drumming release stress, but it can help us create a sense of unity, safety and comfort with the group. Join us for the opportunity to drum with your community. You will not need musical experience or drumming materials to join this group (but if you have a drum, feel free to bring it).

Children (6-13) and teens (13-19) are welcome accompanied by an adult.

How to Attend
This event takes place in person. Masks are strongly encouraged in all CPL locations. Questions about visiting the library? Check out our Using the Library FAQs.
