Description

Join Oba William King for a Pre-Kwanzaa celebration featuring excerpts from his “A Poetic Kwanzaa” Storytelling with Drum and Cultural Songs. Designed for the entire family, don’t miss the opportunity to engage in interactive learning, sing-a-long cultural songs, dance to the rhythm of the drums, experience the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa through poetry, the magnificent vocal offerings of the incomparable Maggie Brown, the Poetic Storyteller.

This project is partially supported by a grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) and presented as part of the Culture In My Neighborhood initiative. #CultureInMyNeighborhood
