Description

Do you want to discover your ancestral roots but don’t know where to start?

Learn the basics of where to find and how to search for genealogical information about your family and how to organize your finds. Also includes an overview of library databases that are helpful in genealogy research and a hands-on introduction to Ancestry Library Edition.

If possible, bring vital information (birth date/place, death date/place, marriage date/place) of one of your ancestors (birth parents or grandparents). Your host will provide a starter Genealogy 101 Kit.

Please bring a personal computer, tablet or phone with internet access for the hands-on portion of this presentation. If you do not have those devices, we will provide them to you.
