The History of Ford City

6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Description

Ford City, one of the first modern malls in Chicago, has a long and interesting history. From it's beginnings as a Dodge Plant producing aircraft engines for World War II, a Tucker Automotive plant, a Ford Aircraft Engine Plant and finally to Ford City Mall.

Join Frank Werner, former Chief Engineer of Ford City for 47 years, as he guides us through this history with historic photos and documents. This event is sponsored by the Clear-Ridge Historical Society.
