D.I.Y. Mini Course: First Nations Before First Contact - Pre-Columbian Splendor in the Americas

7:45 PM – 8:00 PM

Description

Every month our librarian will dive into the literary and audiovisual wealth of the Chicago Public Library and present you with a pathfinder. Our pathfinders are D.I.Y. mini-courses on subjects of interest that will direct you to the books, articles, videos, and music necessary to provide a well-rounded appreciation of the topic. The Chicago Public Library is your vehicle of discovery… Let us be your map! --- When registering for the event you will be subscribing to this pathfinder and will receive a new document in your e-mail on the last Thursday of each month. Upon registration you can even suggest other topics of interest for upcoming pathfinders, and we will do the research for you.

This month's mini course focuses on the cultures & nations of the indigenous peoples of North and South America. We will find sources that examine the rich history and magnificent empires of the "New World" as they existed before Christopher Columbus landed in 1492.
