The Art of Storytelling: Hybrid Virtual and In-Person Learning Circle

4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Harold Washington Library Center

How would you tell the story of your community? Strengthen your storytelling skills with a learning circle this fall!

Do you know you can take an online course at the library in a learning circle? A learning circle is a study group for learners who want to complete online courses, together with others. This is a free opportunity for adults to learn new skills with others.  Learning Circles are presented as multi-week courses, and you should plan to attend each of the classes.

Join a five part course focused on the art of telling your story. You’ll join with others to learn the tools of the storytelling trade and write your own original story or poems! We will cover a new topic each week, focusing on story structure, point-of-view, characterization, description, and style.

This course will take place virtually and in person. Capacity is limited. Registration is required and COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed for in-person attendance. If taking this learning circle virtually, you will need free Zoom software.
