Researchers, experts and readers join a panel discussion on the impact of the One Book, One Chicago program over the last two decades. What can we learn about Chicago’s readers? How does a citywide reading program create community? These questions and more will be discussed. Panelists include John Shanahan, Associate Dean & Director of Liberal Studies at DePaul University and lead researcher of the Reading Chicago Reading study, Jennifer Lizak, coordinator of the One Book, One Chicago program, and Chicago author and teacher Kathleen Rooney.
