American Red Cross AmeriCorps volunteers will be presenting "Preparedness with Pedro."
This workshop is a 30- to 45-minute preparedness education program for grades K-2 that teaches students how to be prepared and take action for either home fires or a local hazard.
This in-person program will be limited to 8 participants. Pre-registration will be required.
For kids ages 5 to 8.
September is National Emergency Preparedness Month and the Richard M. Daley Library branch, along with community partners, wants to raise awareness about the importance of being prepared for disasters and emergencies that can happen at any time.
How to Attend
This event takes place in person. Due to space limitations, please include the total number of children and adults as attendees when you register.
The safety and health of our patrons and staff is our priority. We’re requiring all visitors over age 2 to wear masks that cover nose and mouth in order to attend this program. If you do not have a mask, we will provide disposable masks.
Stay home if you or someone in your group are experiencing symptoms of any illness per order of the Chicago Department of Public Health.
