Hospice care is one of the most unique and robust types of care covered under Medicare. However, many people don’t know much about this type of care. This workshop will describe in detail, what hospice is, who is eligible, who pays for care, and what services are included. We will also discuss common misconceptions about hospice care and how lived experiences influence people’s care decisions. Learn all that hospice has to offer and how it can look different for each individual.
Presented by: Maureen Burns, Rogers Park Area Community Health Worker at JourneyCare.
