Have you thought about becoming a lawyer? Are you passionate about social justice and equal rights? Come meet lawyers and judges from the Cook County Bar Association as we present “Rise Up: Inspiring the Next Generation of Diverse Lawyers.”
Join us to learn about the various skills and tools to become a lawyer. We hope to inspire the next generation to pursue careers in law and increase diversity in the legal profession. During the presentation, lawyers will share several books to highlight key principles that propelled them forward, civil rights issues that persist in our country today, and the importance of diversity.
Come learn about the inspiration that led attorneys and judges into the field of Law. The following titles will be highlighted:
The New Jim Crow
This will be a community storytelling event where lawyers will be able to field questions from the audience on their motivations and careers. Please join us.
